I am Oluchi (or Lulu to my nearest and dearest), and, for the next 6 weeks, I and a few friends will be taking you on a whistle stop tour of our ruggedly beautiful city of Lagos. Our journey will feature all the interesting places to be and the fantastic things to do in our truly mesmerising concrete jungle accompanied by some interesting Lagosians.

I will be seeking to hear and share with you their candid answers to my simple but soul-searchingly deep question: “when did you realise that you love Lagos in December?” Our Detty December journey will take us on some of the most authentic and beguiling experiences our city has to offer. Our journey begins with me reconnecting with Olaolu, a diaspora musician, who I haven’t seen for a minute because he lives in Canada. We catch up while grazing at the luscious La Chaumiere in Victoria Island.
