December is usually a busy time in Lagos’ vibrant theatre scene and 2016 isn’t an exception. On offer is a wide-ranging selection of plays from various production houses this holiday season and we caught up with the sometimes camera-shy Femi Oke. The writer, director, actor and freshly minted Ph.D was kind enough to open up to us about his upbringing, memorable time away in beautiful Berlin and the inspiration behind his play Fool’s Day which returns to the Twilight Theatre this season.

Fool’s day is opens on 16 December on the Twilight Theatre stage at Ace Olivia Hall, City Mall, Onikan.
