Once upon a time, in the calm of the evening people, young and old, gathered under the Orombo tree but with modernisation and change in family ties this once regal tree whose branched leaves were not only a shade but a meeting point of love, laughter and looses its audience and wilts into irrelevance..
Under the Orombo is a theatrical drama piece weaving together 10 African folklores in various dance expressions.
Venue: National Arts Theatre, Iganmu, Lagos.
Dates: 29, 30, April and 1 May, 2017.

I love the originality of the play. Indeed it was breath-taking as the actors gave their best and kept me speechless all through. The costume and entire setup was next to none. I’m glad I came.
